I’m sitting here in my office trying to get some work done while little hands are fast asleep. You would think that a home office wouldn’t be so messy, but I just have so much stuff all over the place and I am running out of places to put it. I have a real “stuff” problem. So anyway, I’m getting off topic already because I didn’t want to talk about my messy desk. I wanted to talk about music. I know, you didn’t see that one coming. Well I needed some theme music to file and clean to. Isn’t it funny how music can motivate us to do different things. I swear to you someone at the gym last week told me that Music is 90% of workout motivation. I wanted to tell him that 87% of all statistics are made up on the spot, but I held my tongue. Really though…90%? Anyway, the point is that it all depends on the music. Obviously I chose a non-motivational genre since I haven’t gotten any work done and am now writing a blog. So after all that rambling, I know you are dying to know what I am listening too. The Beach Boys!!! Bet you didn’t see that one coming either. I love The Beach Boys, they are the ultimate laid back, surfer dudes. I love their music, and good thing because Wes and I pretty much have everything they ever recorded. So that brings us here, this blog is going nowhere, but still I sit listening to Surfer Girl. Man, this song makes me want to move to the beach and learn how to surf. Is it just me? Is anyone else a closet Beach Boys fan?

Everywhere she goes she gets special attention. I guess cause she’s just so gosh darn cute. Today when I went to pick her up at the nursery after working out she had a brand new do. It brought me back and I just had to share this with you.

The resemblance is uncanny.

Loving:
McCormick Potato Seasoning…It was so easy to so, toss it with cubed potato cubes and a little oil and bake for 25 min. Delicious!!!

Drinking:
General Foods International Coffee Variety Pack…I found this the other day. It came with 4 different flavors in individual packets, so they are great for on the go. And also for people like me who can’t decide which flavor to buy.

Enjoying:
Good Grips Mandoline slicer… Now that my finger has healed, I am giving my gadget a second chance. The blade is so sharp and it allows you to slice everything exactly the same size. By the way, I am being more careful this time and using the protective food holder.

Watching:
America’s Got Talent… I am not huge on reality talent shows, but I do like this one. I have watched it from the beginning and while they have some crazy people that try to get their 3 minutes of fame, they also have some pretty great talent. I am also a fan of Last Comic Standing.

Disliking:
My Calf muscles… I overdid the calf exercises yesterday and am paying for it today. Hopefully they recover by tomorrow, because its time to work them again.

Scheming:
Rick Roll… I am plotting the Rick Roll in new and devious ways, You have been warned!!!

Well, our vacation is definitely over. Wes had to go back to work this morning and I had to hit the gym. We did lots of eating and lying around on vacation, so I have to get back into the swing of things. I know I am going to be sore tomorrow. No pain, no gain right? One bad thing though, we can’t find our camera. I don’t think we left it in the hotel room, but we’ve looked all over and can’t find it anywhere. It was getting time for an upgrade anyway. So if we don’t find it soon, I’ll be looking for a new one. I love my digital camera. I take pictures of Kayla almost every day. So anyway, my wordpress is being funny and won’t let me upload pictures, so check these out on Flickr.

Sittin’ here in the hotel room. It started to rain a little earlier, but has stopped now. I’m waiting for them to unlock the pool. We’re having a great time. Very relaxing, which was the whole point. We’ll be heading back tomorrow morning, I wish we could stay another day. Wes and I went to a go-cart place this morning. There was a 3 story wooden track and a slick track. After that we hung out on the beach and took a nap. The water is pretty and blue / green, but there is algae or seaweed everywhere in the water. I’m too much of a girl for that mess, I like the pool. We stayed at the beach for about 2 hours and neither if us got sunburned, which is very impressive for us. So anyway, thats about it. Here is a picture from the beach.

Haven’t been posting much cause not much has been going on.  We are leaving for Destin, FL tomorrow morning. I can’t wait. My parents are keeping Kayla while Wes and I get a few days away. I’ll miss her, but I am looking forward to some time with my hubby. I hope Kayla doesn’t forget who we are while we are gone. She has been discovering new things. She’s talking more, but everything is a ball. That’s her favorite word, ball. It’s about the only word she says, ball. It’s really cute when she says it though, she uses her whole face. Well it wasn’t her first, but it was the first I bought her. Kayla and I swung by McDonald’s on the way home today and got a happy meal. I think she was pretty impressed with it all. Mostly the fries and orange soda. She did eat a little cheeseburger, but she shared most of it with the dogs.

I think she liked the fact that she got a new toy for eating all those fries.

She seemed pretty pleased with it, ( whatever it was). You gotta love McDonald’s for having toys for children under 3. Getting them hooked early.

We’ve been planning it for months now, but yesterday was the day. Me and my girls got all dressed up and went to see Sex and the City.

The movie was great, but long. We even got free movie passes from the theater because we looked so cute. ( Note to self: dress up more often and get free stuff)

After the movie, we went to J Alexanders for dinner and very pretty cocktails. No free stuff there, but the food was great. I love hanging out with my girls. I think we are going to have to do this more often.
