Well today was the dreaded court date. I only got subpoenaed 2 months ago, so its been a long tome coming.  I showed up for court and waited about an hour total. The guy didn’t show up. So the judge issued a bench warrant for his arrest and I was free to go. That is until he is arrested and a new trail date is set. But next time he’ll have one more charge to add. Oh well, such is life. I’m happy to be on the good side of the law. That was actually the first time I’d actually seen the inside of a courtroom. They look just like they do on tv.

I know I haven’t posted in a while. I haven’t had too much to post about. Its been a pretty uneventful year thus far. Not that I am complaining. Kayla and I have just been hanging out. She gets more and more entertaining everyday. She is a curious little monkey and everything is fascinating to her, especially things she isn’t supposed to touch. I am so happy I am able to witness all her firsts. We are waiting for her to start walking any day now. I think she is able to walk, she’s just too scared to let go and do it on her own. She also has 2 new teeth, just came in this week. You know what that means…New Food!!!

Other than that, I’ve started planning her birthday party, even though it is 3 months away. I can’t help it, I’m excited about it.

Heffalump 2007-2008

It was me, I am responsible for murdering Kayla’s most beloved toy.  It was the first thing I bought when I found out I was pregnant. She can’t sleep without him. I didn’t mean to kill him, it was an accident. He really needed a bath, and since he didn’t come with  instructions, I hand washed him. That was the end, he’ll never sing again. Thankfully, Kayla doesn’t seem to care that he is mute. She still drags him everywhere she goes, and that means he will need another bath.

Well it’s 2:10am and I am about to hit the sack. But before I do, I just want to wish everyone a Happy New Year. We are winding down from our party, everyone left and the mess has been cleaned up. We had a blast. I can now say that I finally had a fun New Years Eve, most of mine were spent watching the ball drop by myself. And after much wining and complaining, I finally got my party. Our friends are the best and we had fun hanging out with all of them. By the way, I do have some left items. So if you are missing something, come check the lost and found box. Anyway, for whoever reads this, I hope you have a great 2008.
